My friend and I are both having a hard time getting by on our small paychecks and want to share a place to save on $$$. We'd be in a one bedroom apt., but think we can make it work out. We have known each other for about 3 years but don't spend a lot of time together.... so this would be something new for us. Has anyone done this or have any suggestions about what we should do?

It all depends. I had a situation like that and the girl made my life miserable. She did everything she promised me she wouldn't do. I met another lady and she needed a roommate and she was the best rommate I ever had and I only knew her for a few weeks before agreeing to share an apartment with her.

Follow your gut on that one. If you have your doubts , don't do it. Believe me. It's either going to destroy a friendship or make you better friends

Being roommates with a friend is a big challenge as it tests the boundaries of friendship. You might get on each other's nerves just plain drive each other crazy but that doesn't mean its not going to work out. If you work together and understand each other than this roommate situation just might work out. Just don't make that first step to wanting to move unless you really want too with this person. Its a big decision for you to make if you have any doubts don't do it.

NO!!!!!. i've done it. there is a possibility that it might work out but for the most part they will get on your nerves and potentially might not be your friend before the lease is up. You will find out things you never thought possible when it comes to your friend. I say no, but that's your gamble. like i said it might work out but the odds are working against you

I agree. In real life you are almost never even on speaking terms with old roomates, let alone friends.

It is a good idea. If you want to ruin your friendship.
