9-11 ... no doubt. The president and the members of congress don't really matter like that. Rudy Guiliani might stand out as an icon from the time. We will judge the politicians by what happens over time. I think we'll all judge Bush favorably once we look back and realize that at least 5 years went by before another successful attack occurred on US soil. I hope it is more than 5 years but I am stunned to this day that the terrorist whackos haven't been able to hit us again. They sure have tried.
I remember when Kennedy was assassinated, when Nixon resigned, the day that the peace treaty was signed ending the Viet Nam war, and the 400 plus days that the Iranian whackos held Americans hostage. None of that really compares to 9-11.

I'll remember the year of 2002 as the end of my mental state of childhood, as well as the year that I started to become who I am now. 2004 was the year that I first became heavily involved on my part in Christianity (although I always believed the Christian ideas), and the year I had my first boyfriend (we lasted for ten days+HUGE debacle of a relationship, but it didn't take much for me to get over it because I have God with me!). Oh, dear yet now unrevered December 16, 2005, when my first love began! But there was a catch to that love, and in 2006, I came as close to the edge of the ledge as I have ever been...but I didn't jump! Until I asked God to help me do something about the situation, I had been as far from Him as I had ever been, but that one desperate call brought me the closest ever-and I don't feel like receding. So 2006 will be remembered by me as the year that I reaped the greatest harvest from the worst situation, as well as a year of answered prayers. And it's not over yet!

9-11-2001 will forever be etched in my brain.
Can't seem to get over it. Too much controversy.
Kinda like the death of JFK. I wonder if we will ever know the real truth.
