He's so tired of liberals calling him a jerk, so he's gonna show them what a "true jerk" is. LOL. Anyway, the USDA has its hands in that one, not the prez.

By the way, Al "Treeman" Gore would've banned Canadian beef imports, too. Go Argos!

Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), commonly known as mad cow disease, is a fatal, neurodegenerative disease of cattle, which infects by a mechanism that surprised biologists on its discovery in the late 20th century. While never having killed cattle on a scale comparable to other dreaded livestock diseases, such as foot and mouth and rinderpest, BSE has attracted wide attention because it seems possible to transmit the disease to humans; it is thought to be the cause of variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD), sometimes called new variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (nvCJD), a human brain-wasting disease, although this has never been proven.

Without specifically answering to your particular issue I suggest this.

WE as citizens, in a free society, should respect the "Office" That doesn't mean we have to respect the office holder.

The individuals who are elected or take a position of power/leadership, are people, and not really any different than those who put them in power positions. They too make judgement errors, or govern, often influeneced by, personal opinion and experience. At the very least they deserve to be thought of as people capable of errors. At the very most,,,we, in a free, elective society, have the option of changing our leadership.

Because, thus far, we have not given him what he wants. He wants a little "America Junior" up here. Wants access to the north, to fresh water, to oil, to lumber. With Harper in though, he's bound to get what it is that he wants... for now.
