Below is a cut out of a Yahoo news article - Hezbollah isn't killing children Israel is - and yes I hope it stops and soon what is happening is wrong and all it will do is breed hate and violence.

Israel's punishing campaign of air strikes, artillery shelling and clashes, which began after Hezbollah crossed the border and captured two Israeli soldiers, has killed an estimated 600 Lebanese. More than 50 Israelis have died, most of them soldiers.

Egeland estimated that nearly 600 Lebanese civilians have been killed in the fighting, a third of them children. The number could be higher, but a proper count is not possible with communications breached in many remote areas and those with heavy fighting.

"There is something fundamentally wrong with a war where there are more dead children then armed men," he said. "It has to stop."

50 Israeli are dead mostly soldiers. I thought Israel was supposed to be the one targeting military sites and Hebollah were just shooting indiscriminately - Nope thats not what the news says. It seems that Israel is the one doing exactly what it accuses Hezbollah of or is the news suddenly anti semite now? Facts are facts so they say the #'s speak for themselves etc. So how will the media explain this one away.

Israel is prosecutiing a war, its not targeting children, its facing a guerilla war. Hezbollah rockets have killed children in Israel, Muslim children. Its very unfortunate, but Israel is not targeting children.

Then why are they killing so many 200 sounds like a lot to me? Is this the long range plan?

You've gotten used to technology. The USA makes precision bombs that target in on 1-meter targets, with unlimited funds to identify them.

But they are useing the bombs the USA gave them and they claim to be useing percision giuded misles like the one that killed the 4 UN soldiers?

Hezbollah is a terrorist organisation with sense of humanity in them. They should be eradicated by any means. Someone has to do something to make this earth peaceful and militant free.

The only way to stop this for good (not just for a few years like the last time) is for one side to completely destroy the other. I just hope Israel has the guts and strength to do the job.

These wars have been going on for centuries. I would like to believe that we have evolved past war and into peaceful ways of living. I really don't know anymore what all of the facts are. I just know it never seems to end, and how can it end until people in power finally say NO MORE WARS?!!!! I still think Bush ignited the fire by invading Iraq instead of seeking a regime change...blow away Saddam instead of the innocent people! Now all the countries are finding cause for war and I am sorry to say the U.S.A. is not setting a good example.

When we (the USA) make a minor error, which can result in [distasteful] death, we freak. We've come to expect more from our actions, but it's only possible b/c we have phenomenal hardware (and the intellect to create it).

When Israel, an extreme ally in my opinion, can't meet these more advanced technological feats, we condemn. This is wrong. They go out of their way to avoid 'collateral damage'. But I think that is morally wrong. Their first moral obligation is the safety of their own & their soldiers.
