ooh now I have to think.
I play the violin, I started when I was about five and I picked it because I saw an orchestra and fell in love with the violin.
In the fifth grade I started playing the flute, this was because my school had a band and not an orchestra so I had to switch. My violin teacher actually suggested the flute because it is in the same key as the violin. About a year ago I joined a flute choir, and I now play the e flat flute, the piccolo, the alto flute, and the bass flute in addition to the c flute.
About five years ago my sister started playing the sax, because she wanted to be like Lisa Simpson, so I started playing that too, I figured there was no point in having an instrument in the house that I couldn't play.
Four years ago I bought a trumpet because I wanted to play in the jazz band.
Around the same time I decided I wanted to learn the piano, my sister used to play but quit so we had a keyboard sitting around collecting dust, unfortunately I have yet to master it.
I recently bought an electric guitar, I had wanted one for years, and there was a sale, so I got one.
And shortly after I got the guitar I saw a dulcimer at the store and decided that I had to get that, because I wanted a weird instrument to play, and I couldn't think of anything more random than a lap dulcimer.

Piano and flute.
I heard people say those who play instruments have higher IQs. Guess it's true.

violin, piano, flute, piccolo, marimba.
marimba is a percussion instrument...kind of like a xylophone, but i think a marimba sounds much prettier when it's played.
i chose the piano because it seemed real cool and i had heard a lot of beautiful piano music and i wanted to play just like that!
i chose to play violin because my friend wanted to play it too, so i joined her.
i chose flute because i saw what a great flute player one of my frieind's was and i wanted to play just like her...so i picked up a flute and played in elementary school and middle school.
piccolo same thing...as flute
i chose a marimba because i had piano experience and i wanted to be apart of this drumline @ my school...and they needed percussion players...and i LOVED the marimba...our school's drumline was awesome, we made it championships and we won 1st place!!!!
i'm playing piano still now and i love it! i'm still working on trying to play difficult pieces of music. but i'll get there.

I play flute. I've always liked the flute or found it intriguiging (sorry for that obvious misspelling) so it seemed an obvious choice when it came time to begin band.
