Well if he is sentenced to be executed it will by fireing squad not by hanging.
However, in a hypothetical situation where he would be hung, he wouldn't swing at all. In a proper hanging, death occurs by breaking the neck from the fall. Hollywood likes to pretend this does not happen because the result of a non-broken neck results in suffocation (and some kicking) which is infinitely more dramatic and sadistic. This would not happen with Saddam because it is considered cruel and unusual punishment and banned by the UN.

If we really wanted him to suffer we would not kill him.. that would be the easy way out for him. Instead we would give him a piece of **** car, a shitty apartment and a shitty job under the Bush regime and tell him to "live". After a few days of being ruled by a complete idiot and not being able to afford the gas to get to work he will want to kill himself any way possible.
