What and why would a human being throw a computer virus your way? I mean, what is the thought process behind it? It's not like they can SEE your anger or suffering as the case could be so what kind of satisfaction are they getting???

I have wondered the same thing. These people are scum. But, they are smart scum. They can be found,but the Govt. usually hires them after they are found because they are experts. I think all of them should be rooted out,and made to spend hard time in a penitentiary. But,they probably could do it from there too.

Usually it is pride within a group and sometimes people compete. They also work on projects together. And then you also see things like name.a, name.b, etc... that usually means it is 'upgraded' and sometimes those are made by other people who want to do the same damage but using a different method but usually it is by the same person.
It is also a way to get things. Viruses = relief. Some people hate companies/websites so they create viruses(or sometimes worms) to run on a specific date to crash a server or website.

I, too, have contemplated this very question. It is probably for the same reason that people make war. Alas,it is much easier to destroy something than it is to build something.
Or maybe his parents didn't give him enough attention!
