i'm going into 8th grade and i want to know how to look more mature?

i go into a restaurant and the host still ask me if i want a kids menu how do i make myself look more mature?

its the eye make-up....dress up your eyes...it looks different at first when you start using eyeliner (the big key) but you get used to it...if i had to pick one part of my make up i couldnt live without its my eyeliner...use black....

Don't try to look more mature just to get off the kids' menu. If you start looking older with hair, make-up, etc, just remember there are a lot of perverts out there looking. You can order anything you want. Say "No thank you, I'll take the steak"!

i just graduated from 8th grade, and believe me, those fakes who act all mature as if they're 20 are the people students point at and talk about.

don't go all teenie bopper with a face full of makeup and a purse at school. teenie boppers don't cut it.

just be natural. 8th grade was when we acted like a kid the most. high fives were everywhere. it's your last chance to be a kid, cause come high school, you're gonna have to be independent and start making "decisions". enjoy the time you have left!

if you're really worried about looking too much like an eight year old or something, then my tip is to not wear cartoon shirts and flower power pants. jeans and t-shirts are cool. or maybe even those long skinny t-shirts are in. as for shoes, just wear pretty ones, tennis shoes! not high heels or anything like that. converse are real nice. they're usually around the $30 range. flats are also pretty. ballet flats. you're really lucky if you find pretty and cheap ones. don't wear shirts that look small on you, because then it looks like you had it since second grade or something. as for your hair, anything goes, as long as it's pretty. part it on the side if you'd like. comb it down and use a straightener. that always gives it a pretty shine. don't go too short with the hair. tie it up once in a while. if you have bangs, grow them a little long so that you can side-comb them and they still are at your eyebrow line. if you must use makeup, make it natural. don't go crazy with the black eyeliner, and if you're using eye-shadow, put a really light touch so that it just illuminates yours eyes a bit. no lipstick, just lip-gloss. loreal paris's juicy lip gloss is nice.

just make sure that you don't try to grow up! enjoy being a kid. take it from someone who was just in eighth grade a few months ago. don't overdue it. you're still a kid in eighth grade. you're not a superficial barbie doll or something. hope these tips help!

(just a little extra info--the cool kids like to shop at american eagle and hollister. you don't have to shop there to be cool. it's just some trendsetter stores right now. just thought you'd like to know.)

Don't be in such a hurry, because nature will take care of that in due time. Theres nothing u can really do but just let it happen when it's time to hurry. Believe me I was the sameway, and after awhile I grew to know that u can't beat nature, I went to school with girls who looked older then they really were( because nature stepped in) one of my bestfriend had large breast and I was so embarrassed one day on the way to school and a grown man made a REALLY hard pass at her( we were only in the 8th grade at the time) and it was so scary because even though he knew she was a child he still kept say nasty things to her. It happen often with her because she grew breast early and whenever guys would see her they'd look at her, point and they sometimes would try to touch her breast.

So, please don't be in such a hurry. It will happen soon enough. Ienjoy being young, because once ur an adult there are gonna be many times u wish u were a kid again. =-)

i am to i know u dont want to be a loser and u want 8th grade to be great..dont go to fair and wear to much make up cause then people whould think ur every imature..but just try strightening ur hair and wera eyeline like that girl said like i do..but yet again act older but still have fun :D

Comb your hair and don't dress like a 13 year old, be your own person be a non-conformist, shirt and ties go a long way with adults.
