When there's good news to report, yeah, they'll report it. But there are a LOT of bad things happening out there. Not all of them because of the Chimp in the White House, but a lot of it can be back - tracked to him.

Also, negative news keeps the mind engaged, just like rubber - neckers at a car wreck when they're loading someone into an ambulance, or a guy taking hostages.

When the media reports negative news, it attracts more viewers, and tries to scare viewers into good behavior.

I agree, they never report anything positive. I don't even watch it anymore because it is so depressing and it puts me in a bad mood.

Because negative news frightens the general (and generally stupid) public. A scared people follow thier government unquestioningly, and that shall be our downfall. *ahem* Sorry, I didn't mean to get all end-of-the-world on ya...LOL.

Two reasons. 1)It is interesting and it glues people to the TV. 2) Because we live in a corrupt world and there are hardly any good things to broadcast.

Because we love it. Everyone wants to hear about perfect celeb lives going bad. We feed off it and it makes us feel better about our boring 9-5 jobs.
