Why not? I may be mistaken, but I believe one privatized former Federal agency already does require a psychological screening. What would be the down side to doing it at the state and municipal level. A pet peeve of mine is that a significant number of government agencies will not permit their managers to mandate counseling for those employees who exhibit bizarre or erratic behavior. www.executivepitboss.com

So, you would rule out somebody just because they may have suffered from depression or manic-depression in their history because they are not "mentally healthy"? That's not what we should be checking ... it sounds like the same stigma that affected a certain Vice-Presidential candidate many years ago that forced him to resign when it became known that he was treated for depression before. Gee, not everybody was lucky enough to be born with silver spoons in their mouths!

i don't see why not, however i would recommend taking the average results of 3 different ones, because if there were one disqualifier for public officials, it would be easy to corrupt that system and put in place a government with a personality profile of your liking, rather than through the consent of the governed.

there isn't any bar examination required for all attorneys. A bar examination is needed in maximum (in all probability all) states with a view to represent consumers in courtroom. There are applications for individuals with regulation ranges that don't require taking a bar examination, inclusive of coaching, that's what Obama used to do together with his, or politics, that's what he's doing now. i do no longer comprehend if he ever took a bar examination or no longer, even though it is not appropriate till he became doing issues that required it.
