sounds like the a/c system is too dangerous and complicated for your level of experience.
but after you've read the disclaimer, the low pressure valve is the valve that is on the larger hose/pipe between the evaporater and the compressor.
give year and model and i may be able to give you exact location.
just because the high pressure side may result in injury doesn't mean the low side is a walk in the park.

obviously if you need to recharge it then you have a leak and would just be pumping refridgerant into the air. just bite the bullet and take it to a mechanic because you don't know what you're doing.

its usually located near the radiator..its there a blue cap or a cap with an L on it. thats where you recharge.

never touch the High port. (near the firewall)

All I can tell ya is that it will be on the "fat" hose/pipe. the skinny one is high pressure and could result in injury!
