you need to ask yourself if you actually trust him or not

First of all, I think I would look at the history of your marriage and ask yourself if he has ever given you reason NOT to trust him.

Second, I would ask myself if he has had any other recent signs of anything other than faithfulness...you know the classic home too late...phone calls where no one is on the line, etc.

Third,( if I knew some of these guys he worked with, or at least there types) I would ask myself if these people seemed like the type to do that sort of thing. However, you won't know for sure on that, because you probably don't know them on the level he does.

Last, and most importantly in my opinion...do you trust him? When I used to go to a therapist, I once told him..." Yeah, but you can't just trust someone..it's not that simple." He said," yesss, it is that simple. You just choose to trust." I would also like to add that in this situation, I really think he is telling you the truth, because..who leaves panties in the glove box? Isn't that a bit too obvious, and in YOUR car of all places. Think about it..if you were your husband, wouldn't you cover your tracks a lot better than that? If you were the other woman, wouldn't you make sure and grab everything of yours out of there, unless you just really wanted to get caught?

You might feel better if you just started joking with him a bit...see how he reacts..like, "What will it be today, a bra hanging off of the rear view mirror?" Or, simply ask him now and then....if he has had anymore practical jokes played on him lately. It might help him to open up a bit about what goes on at work, and it might also help you to feel like it is an open subject and not something huge and secretive. Good luck to you...we have all had little things happen now and then that makes us raise an eyebrow. What is important is that you trust the best you can and weigh things out very carefully...otherwise we tend to make things way bigger than they ever were. I think he is telling you the truth. Good luck to you!

What size panties? No, Sorry I couldn't resist that one.

Seriously, he must be pretty stupid if he was cheating on you and left panties in the glove box. duh. And, I used to work with some guys that had that very same sense of humor. Old bras, anything for a laugh or trick on someone else.

In fact, my wife has that same sense of humor. She recently hung an old nasty nightie on the front of my brothers camper awning for everyone to see as they walked by before my brother and sister-in-law got up for the day.

As President Regan once said, "Trust but verify". It's good advice. If he is cheating on you, and he made these two mistakes already, he'll mess up again.

When he says it was a joke, did his face look relaxed and like it really was a joke? Or did it look like he just got caught at something that took alot of last second explaining? At this stage of everything, you're left with gut feelings based on how you know you're own husband. In time though.... you'll know for sure one way or the other.

The fact that the women's panties were part of a joke is sort of unbelievable, but before you jump to any conclusions you should talk to him about it. If I were you I would believe that something isn't right.

I would demand to know the person's name and number who played this joke. I would have something to say to them about getting in my car without my permission. As for hubby, he better not be lying about this or else there will be hell to pay. One way or another I would get to the bottom of this.

Your husband is a liar. I'd file for divorce. And I'd quit letting the liar borrow my car.
