It will not have any effect on the motherboard, but you should keep it away from any and all media, and be grounded against static electricity, using something such as an anti-static strap.

None really, you need to be more concerned with static electricity. Don't change the motherboard when standing on carpet, wear a wrist strap if you have one, otherwise keep grounding yourself to the metal of the case by touching the metal with a bare hand. A magnetic screwdriver isn't powerful enough to harm anything in a computer these days, the magnets in your hard drive are far more powerful. Old school floppies were susceptible, but most people have stopped using them.

It can ruin your motherboard if you come in contact with it but as long as you're careful when you screw in the screws you should be fine because I've replaced a bunch of motherboards using a magnetic screwdriver and nothing's ever happened. Try to get one that's not too powerful just to be safe (or don't use a magnetic one at all if you're really worried).

No problem at all.
Just like a normal screwdriver, don't let it scratch the mother board or touch where it's not supposed to touch.

I use a magnetic screwdriver so screws don't drop on boards, which would NOT be good.
It will also NOT affect the hard drive at all because its shielded.
However laying a magnetic screwdriver on a unshielded floppy disk will erase it!

I don't think it will do anything to the motherboard as all the computer engineers use magnetic screwdrivers will fixing computer+it only take a sec. to remove the motherboard ppl. mustn't be afraid from everything so they can achive their goal

No problem at all. convenient to help hold screws to get started and to retrive screws removed. Magnetics are a problem around media, floppy disks and even hard drives.

if you're really clumsy, you'll never lose the screw because it sticks to the screw driver from magnetic force, but i think it's a waste unless your doing a lot of big projects.

nothing the screws are isolated from the board if you noticed the screw holes are all isolated so it has no effect to the motherboard not unless you used it to touch the ic's
