Is Germany morally obliged to come to the rescue of a people they nearly destroyed last century? Would it not be a heroic and enobling act for Germans to fight alongside the children of those they so heinously persecuted and destroyed? The iranian president has the temerity to send a letter to the German Chancellor lionizing the holocaust and the best she can do is call it "unacceptable" and not reply. Why would he think Germany might be responsive to such repulsive words? Is he an idiot? I think not. Perhaps he believes Germany's inaction in the middle east is a code for passive support of terrorists determined to destory Israel.
The holocaust provokes the most dramatic historical paradigm to these thugs for the isolation and destruction of the Jews! Hitler is obviously a hero to those who deny Israel's existance and seek the vernichtung (destruction)of the jewish race. Can Germany continue to address this situation with tepid words? Historical justice demands Germany's intervention!

Holocaust is late 1930-ish. The world has paid many times over to the Jewish people for the atrocities committed against them more than 60 years ago. However, the Jewish people still continue to play that card every time someone says something against them. They behave that those acts against them have given them the moral right to persecute people who have not been involved in the holocaust. As if it was a blank check to cash in on every time someone says something against Jews or Israel.

Nazi Germany did something wrong, beyond doubt, but then the entire world has said sorry for their act and has paid back Jewish people reparations MANY times over. It's about time you got over that and looked at issues in the CURRENT time period.

Do you know why? Because if you say that Israel is justified to avenge the atrocities committed on Jews 60 years ago then the Lebanese people are even more justified in resisting Israeli aggression against them which lasted from 1982 to 2000, only 6 years ago.
60 years to 6 years. If you can't forget something 60 years past, why should they forget something just 6 years past?

Well, if your goal was to make people think, you have succeeded. It really gave me something to think about. I must admit I do agree with you on many issues.

First of all, I am part German. And second of all, Merkel is not such a good Chancellor. There are no Willy Brandts in German politics at the moment unfortunately.

You have a certain point. And it is very unacceptable to say that a whole country should be terminated, together with all it's people. It doesn't make sense, and it inspires so much hate in the minds of people who don't usually use their minds (except when someone plants evil thoughts inside).

It is also very very dangerous to forget or to deny even, one of the biggest, and surely the most well-organized massacres that has ever happened in the history of mankind (it never matters how long ago it happened, by the way- that kind of evil can live forever). It leads to more and more same mistakes.

And there is one more very important thing: information and the media. People believe only what they see on the news, and the opinions they believe are their own are actually very cleverly planted inside of them. So, who killed who first? Did the terrorist act in silence for years? Who finnaced who? And who is lying right now, saying one thing on the news, and doing totally opposite in reality? How many people died on each side? And would someone attack someone else for no reason whatsoever? It all matters, and it it doesn't matter at all in the same time. The only thing that is important is that the killings, the wars and the hatred stop once and for all. And the people who think that is pathetic & impossible are the very reason it doesn't.

I will be honest, though, I need to think about this issue some more. It's too delicate and too dangerous. Great question....

Considering that after the Nazi regime, Germany was trapped between the fight of two superpowers, one nation was even the reason for Nazi Germany to exist (the Jewish conspiracy of Karl Marx).
A country was divided several years, families lost contact between relatives, a lot of people died, and the cultural differences still affect the life's of Germans that will carry a mental "wall" for the next generations... I´m pretty sure the Germans have paid enough.

No idea why you question, but is absurd.
Instead of Germany, then we can say Rome needs to help them, they got them out of that land first, and surely the Germans didn't´t wanted Jews there, pretty sure Germans never attacked ancient Israel. Pretty sure any nation in the world has or had troubles with their Jewish population, actually the Romans screwed everyone.

If we go with your logic, Spain needs to help Hezbollah, they spelled one of the greatest civilizations from Iberia, they need to pay.
And the USA to Japan, who needs to help China and Philippines after all the atrocities.
And if you are not native American, you need to give half of your income because directly or indirectly your ancestors, wherever they came from, destroyed their heritage and stole their lands, and they are threaten as trash from Canada to Argentina.

it style of feels obvious you do no longer even comprehend that hamas and hezbollah have been truly created as an prompt consequence of Israeli protection stress action against Palestinian civilians? have you ever study the upward push and Fall of the third reich? Or Churchills historic past of WW2... of course no longer. Your lack of know-how of this conflict is likewise especially formidable, so i could advise you do a touch examine till now you placed up. The killing of customarily harmless civilians is going on at 10-20:a million in Israel's favour and this is been for years... so the info do no longer decrease back up your case, they instruct the choice... and is the reason why Israel has considered one of those adverse terrorist difficulty. there are lots of valid comparisons to be made truly and treating harmless adult males, women and young ones like sub human beings and indiscriminately locking them up and killing them is one clean parallel. that's fairly comparable to what happens to abused little ones, they pass directly to perpetuate an identical abuse and to that end the Israelis found out their approaches straight away from the Nazis. So, specific truly, Israel IS focused on civilians and that they continuously have - attempt finding on the Israeli peace sites, particularly ones run by their conscientious objectors... your perspectives are ignorant and it seems that incorrect. NO-ONE else interior the international robotically bombs terrorists in condominium homes in civilian factors and the USA of a could have long previous ballistic if the united kingdom had accomplished this in Northern eire - rightly so. BTW, re your human shelter remark, the Palestinian factors are in many cases incredibly densely populated - no longer the only ingredient that's better than averagely dense around right here I advise...

No, Germany does not need to rescue the Jews. A quick history lesson...in all of Europe, from France to Italy to Spain...Jews were hated and excluded from everything...only Germany allowed them into their society (Yiddish is a form of German), of course we all know history with Hitler using the Jews, and gays, and gypsies as scapegoats for failed economy policies.

But no, Germany doesn't need to get involved in these matters...Israel MUST determine it's own destiny.

Germany realizes that Israel is ruthlessly killing civilians, and they don't want to be a part of it. I live in the U.S and are president is funding Israels weapons so that they can kill innocent people. Israel is trying to kill so called terrorists, but i think its just like whats happening in Iraq. Bush and Israel thinks that if they kill enough people the "terrorists" will give up. However its nor goin to work that way, it will end up like Iraq, another war with no way out.

Not really, Since Germany already compensated Israel financially.
It is called blood money and if you accept it, it means you've been paid in full.

You need to stop sniffing paint fumes. The "Holocau$$$t" is a Jewish fairytale. And let the baby-killers in that stinking rock pile, "Israel", suffer the consequences of their own murderous actions.
