Cimps may be closer to humans in terms of DNA, but orangutans are the most intelligent primates. Elephants and dolphins are also highly intelligent.

I believe bonobo's and chimps are more closely related to humans than gorilla's.

Monkeys are a wee bit further down the chain (a chimpanzee is not a monkey!)
