Black pinstripe - White shirt---crisp with cuff links. A tie with a very small amount of red, gray, and white on a lighter gray background.
Is the pinstripe a double-breasted jacket? Are the slacks smooth cut or do they have pleats in front?
Black solid suit? Eggplant or Aubergine shirt; tie should have deep grays, deep olive greens (not forest or Kelly green), and just a bit of black
White suit - without knowing the cut, this one is difficult. If you wear this one for evening wear, then I would suggest a tab collar shirt that is closed with a black onyx and silver color pin, wear a black onyx ring, appropriate watch, and no tie. The top tab collar shirts usually have pleated button fronts that appear almost as ascots. Very handsome.
P.S. Black shoes, black leather belt for all three suits. For the black suits, please wear in your pocket a handkerchief that will go well with the Deep purple of the Eggplant for the Black solid suit, and a very crisp white handkerchief for the pinstripe.
Now----be like John Travolta and "strut!"

A dark purple tie with a black suit and a grey shirt can be nice. Keep the patterns simple.
A blue suit, white shirt and red tie is very common. Leave patterned shirts for the advanced class.
Go to a men's store and find a suit coat like yours. Lay it on the counter and get a shirt like yours. Then play with ties that match. Pick out 3 ties so you have plenty of variety.
Look around for other guys who you think dress well and take notes on their tie choices.

Try to get a patterend tie, and then chose one of the plainer/lighter colors in the pattern and use that for your shirt. Example: A tie with dark a dark color stripe and yellow on it would be nice with a yellow shirt. It picks up the colors of the patterns. If you always wear plain black or navy I think people will really notice if you wore a color that pops like yellow with the navy, or pale blue with the black maybe. It'll make it seem much more different than plain white.

White to a formal is overkill. With the other suits, the key is to wear a plain or plain looking shirt that looks a solid color from a distance with a tie that has a splash of that same color in it somewhere with other colors to add to the complete picture.

Some jobs are stricter about dress than others. It sounds as if you have a stockbroker look with dark solid or striped (white vertical pinstripes, I suppose) suits. Dressiest is a white broadcloth shirt, but pinstripes are close behind. Stick to white with dark stripes. Blue or maroon are safest. Very pale blue or yellow shirts may be OK, but think about it. They are more casual. As for ties, Ivy leagues are elite and can be brighter than less formal ones. Yellow or orange ones have been stylish in recent years. Stripes are a vital part of the businessman's wardrobe in the USA too. Diagonal ones are more harmonious than horizontal ones. I would not recommend pink or purple in shirts or ties, for such colors are negative to certain people in business. I cannot wear greens, but my brother could. You must consider your hair, skin and eye color.

It is so nice when people dress up! It used to be a standard, but now it is quite refreshing to see. I would go to a mens store or the mens department in a mall store and look at some of the color combinations on the models or mannequin's to get some ideas. You could also talk to some of the employees there, show them suits similar to the ones you own and they will find some great combinations for you. Good luck and have a good night!!!

Best bet is to go to a men's department and see what is currently in style. The mannequins will be wearing shirts with matching ties, etc. There is no set color of tie and shirt to wear with your suits!
Currently, heavily pigmented dress shirts (rich dyes in dark blue, dark red, charcoal, mocha and brown) and a contrasting tie with some shimmer to it are popular.

A butter yellow shirt with a yellow & blue tie would be good with the navy suit. Pale pink is good too. White is always good.

The color of your suits would look very nice with a silk tie in either yellow or gold.
Check out a men's shop for good results.

hmm, i think you should follow this "mantra": if you are wearing a shirt that is a solid, dark colour, choose a tie that is on the 'bright' side of the colour wheel and vice versa. however, always remember to wear a tie that is plain and muted instead of those ugly patterned ones.
if you're still clueless, grab your wife/girlfriend/trusted gal pal to accompany you for a shopping spree and i'm sure she has good fashion sense. if that still is a no-can-do, approach any of those pleasant sales assistants at the department store to help you choose a flattering tie and/or shirt!
good luck!
