Oh my grammpy and I use to play all the time. This is how we played each got seven cards to look at four were dealt out face up laying them one on each side of the remaining deck of cards. The person that didn't deal then pulls one card of the deck and begins their turn by making any move they can. Kings of course go in the corner and you then procedd to build up the Kings in the corner with the rest of the cards a red King matches with a black Queen so on and so forth. If there are cards laying on the table that can be put on top of other cards you can move them over and then put one of the cards in your hand out hoping to not create a move for the next player who must take a card from the deck before making a move. And if you make a move without picking up a card that's an extra card you now have to pick up. Hope I explained this well enough for you. Have fun!

I made it sound as if you only build up the Kings, you can lay any cards out that can be played anywhere on the board not just the Kings on your turn of course.
