Jinx, the worst thing men and women do is establish an expectation of their mate to live up to. Doesn't it make sense that if there is no expectation that all of the good things would be a pleasant suprise instead of a disappointment if the expectation is too high. Be fair and set no expectation as it is a formula for your mate or bf or husband for failure. Do you like having an expectation to live up to before you have had the good things about you realized? Same thing. Don't set for failure and there is possibility for success and so much more.

One of the beautiful parts of marriage is that you get to build your own little world as man and wife.
The expectations for any event are defined by the couple. It is, after all, their marriage.
I know this isn't the answer you were looking for, but if you look at what I'm saying you'll find some truth.
