Yes, I saw one at Ettington Park, it is now a country hotel but used to be the 17th century family home of the Shirley family. It has a bloody past, including priests murdered whilst hiding in priest holes, action during the English Civil War etc. however, its most famous ghosts, are those of two children dressed in Cavalier costumes; they were drowned in the lake which lies within the grounds of the property. Guests, report having heard the voices of children running about during the night. They have been so concerned that they have checked out the following day. When I was staying there, two physic researchers were also there, ghost hunting. One of the researchers had said that they had seen the children running into the chapel during the day, where they were seen to disappear behind one of the pews. What surprised the researchers was that it did not seem possible to get behind that particular pew, however, they removed a loose piece of wood which revealed a hole in the wall, which, had not hitherto been known to exist.
The hotel is thought to be haunted by several spirits, including one of a housemaid, murdered about three hundred and fifty years ago at the top of the steps. My wife collapsed on that very spot, she was completely unable to explain what had caused it. We only found out about that particular murder after we had returned home and, by coincidence, there was a television programme about Ettington Park which included the story about where/how/when this murder occurred.
My own experience occurred at about 11.15 at night. I had walked up the flight of open stairs on the way to my room, I pushed open an original large oak door and, as I walked through it, was aware of a small figure passing on my right side going in the opposite direction. It happened so quickly, but when I got to the other side of the door, I reasoned that at that time of night, there is no way that a small child would be wandering about on its own. I quickly reopened the door and there was no one there. People have asked me what the child looked like, but I didn't look straight at the child, I was simply aware that it had passed me. It struck me how small it was, but then children would be smaller then. I have never seen a ghost before or since but that was a very strange experience.

I wouldn't say that I believe in Ghosts -- but I had an experience that made me question if they really do exist or not....
The shop that I work at is suppossed to be haunted by a former co-worker who committed suicide a few years ago. One night when closing up - I was leaving and turned off all of the lights starting with the back of the shop and working my way up to the front. When I got to the door to lock it - I noticed a light in the back flicked on. I went back in to investigate and turned it off again. Then as I returned to the front door - Our cash register drawer popped open! (This is a locked drawer and can only be opened with a key or a transaction) that was enough for me --- I took off like a bolt of lightning and now I refuse to close unless someone is with me!!!

Yes. I know they're out there. I sold a house three years ago that was "not right". Believe me or not but we quite often saw grey-blackish shadows in the middle of the afternoon. We constantly had something knocking on our bedroom doors at night. when we'd open them there was nothing on the other side. There were also numerous photos taken in the house of family members that have kind of a haze in some of them. I did a lot of research on the house and I know for a fact no one died in the house. I'm still not sure about the land.

I do!! I lived in a house with 3 other room mates, we would go to bed at night and when we got up in the a.m. the cabinet doors and drawers in the kitchen would all be open and things were rearranged! One night our other roomy started slamming the cabinet doors it woke all of us up, as we (4 girls) gatherd in the kitchen a window broke in the back of the house, we were all grabbing baseball bats, brooms and knives and went to investigate, when we went into the back room a man was comming in the window. Our ghost woke us up to protect us!! They guy was on drugs, 3 of us held him down while the other called the pd!
The house I live in now also has a ghost, but we think it is my mom! Used to be her house!!

For your own peace of mind, do not listen to any of your answers - people have a tendency to exaggerate to frighten you. Please be careful, there are a lot of convincing liars out there. Also learn to live for today and enjoy your life - is there something missing that you are seeking by way of contact with ghosts? You will learn nothing from others experience in this department. Put this behind you and have a laugh.

I am a bus driver and 5 years ago I stopped to pick up a man and his two kids there was girl about 12 and a young boy about 3. He paid for himself and the litle girl the lad didn`t have to pay and they were only going half a mile down the route and there were only the three of them on the bus when we reached their destination. the dad and his daughter got off and stood on the pavement so I`m waiting for the little lad to get off, the man stood there looking at me and asked what I was waiting for , I told him the little boy isn`t with you, I don`t have a little boy he said. you definately had a boy about 3 years old with you when you got on. You have seen little Alan said the man we lost him to cancer 3 years ago, he said don`t worry lots of people have seen him walking behind us. Yes I do beleive in ghosts now

I lived in a vicarage in the north west of England which was haunted. As a child and perhaps more susceptible I saw her, and called her Millicent. As I grew older I asked my parents if, when walking along the upper corridor, they didn't make way for someone who was standing there. You just automatically walked round someone. They reluctantly agreed that they had done the same thing. She wasn't threatening, but she was there.

Firstly, I don't believe that ghosts are evil entities that go around trying to cause harm to people...that is a load of nonsense! However, I am in the middle of this issue...because...my Gran told me about her experience and she wasn't one to make up stuff. She told me that she was lying on her bed one afternoon and her deceased husband walked in...looked at her with great sorrow...then knelt down by her bed and seemed to pray. He then got up...looked at her again...shook his head sorrowfully - tears pouring down his face...and then walked out. My Gran knew that something terrible had happened and her first thoughts were of my mother who had been my grandfather's favourite child. Minutes later the phone rang to tell my Gran that my mother had just passed away!
As I said before...my gran was not one to embellish the truth...so I believe that this actually happened...or...maybe it was just the mother/child bond that is supposed to exist....I DON'T KNOW!!!
However...I have stayed in a so-called haunted house and saw nothing...well, nothing that wasn't explainable!
I personally think that if you believe in ghosts you are more likely to 'see' things that...in a sense are nothing-out-of-the- ordinary...but perceived as paranormal!! But that is just my opinion!!

I don't believe in Ghosts but I think sometimes a 'snap shot' of time is left. The husband of the lady who I bought my house from died here. Both myself, partner and daughters have 'seen' his shadow. We have seen him walk past the living room along the hall way and also coming out of my daughters room. No change of temperature, nothing spooky or scary, just a shadow/memory moving around.
