not all police cars are the same, so top speed will vary. same goes for gas mileage, if the cop is just cruising not really getting on their vehicle and has a full tank of gas before getting dispatched, you can figure between 300 to 375 miles on a tank. you also have to figure in the time they just sit on the side of the road or at a parking lot drinking coffee and having donuts. if this question is supposed to help you out on figuring a way to outrun a cop just remember, it's not the speed of the cop car, not how much gas is in the tank, it is how many patrols are being ran through the day, are they using air patrols because you might be able to outrun the vehicle but the 2 way radio will get ya every time. that's if you don't wreck your vehicle in the process then go up for vehicle manslaughter charges...Good Luck with that one

I would say the top speed would be at least 120 mph, and they probably can go about 300 miles on a tank of gas, but since they have radios in their car and multiple police car units from all jurisdictions on the road, the police can probably keep driving until they hit ocean.

Depends.
Several states have specially prepared cars for very high speed pursuits on the interstates.
These pursuit cars are race prepared Camaros and Mustangs (Yes, they are still in use on the forces even though Camaros are no longer made).
The Mustangs have a top speed around 155mph and the Camaros can go about 165mph.
These interceptors could go about 150 miles on a full tank at near top speed.
UPDATE:
FOR ALL THAT BELIEVE YOU CAN'T OUTRUN A RADIO.
YES, you can.
I have done it several times in my wilder youth.
Anybody who does not outrun the radio was not driving fast enough.
Once you are around 150mph, you have outrun the radio.
150mph equals 2.5 miles per minute. Even police 10 miles away would have only 4 minutes to respond and set a roadblock or you've already passed them by.
There is no way for even a well staffed force to respond quickly enough to a car doing 2.5 miles per minute.
That is why CA was the first to buy Cop-Stangs to cover Interstate15 up to Vegas. They kept in Barstow (about halfway from LA to Vegas).
