If, by some miracle before the end of October, Bush's government managed to: end the war in Iraq leaving a viable democracy in control; brokered a lasting peace between Israel and the rest of the Middle East; ended the terrorist threat peacefully; brought unemployment down to near zero; solved the immigrant problem; helped to create a world respected United Nations; came up with an inexpensive alternate non-polluting fuel; peacefully ended the North Korean crisis; aided Iran in their nuclear power program while assuring no nukes were being made; found a cure for Aids; and ended world hunger... would you still vote Democrat?

Ditto for AMULEK1978. A couple of the others' comments ,at least, must be challenged. Near full employment would be a step backward. We must always have some unemployment or we are stagnant. Innovation and entrepreneurship cause some unemployment and that is good! Secondly, we had a "common" man by the name of Jimmy Carter a few years back and what a disaster! He was a good, kind, intelligent man but not a savy or effective president.
I do believe that George Busch is a good president! Look at what he inherited from the previous administration! (How many attacks by the terrorists did we suffer from all over the world with nothing being done about it)?
My parents were Democrats but they didn't understand what brought us out of the "Great Depression". It was world War ll, not the welfare programs that F D R initiated, (and many are still with us), including the R E A and the T V A, which long ago outlived their usefulness.

There was a cover-up about what caused the Twin Towers to fall on 9/11. It is clear from videos of the collapse that it was not airplanes that caused the buildings to fall. The only reason so many people believe it was the airplanes is that they were so shocked by the unthinkable events of that morning that they grabbed at the first possible answer: Clearly the two airplanes that slammed into the skyscrapers were sent by terrorists, so it must have been the airplanes that destroyed the buildings.

And they continue to believe it was the airplanes that destroyed the buildings because that is the theory put forth by the Bush gov't. Just look at the way those towers fell; each tower's 47 steel columns would have had to fail at the same time, and within ten seconds each column would have had to shatter into 30 or 40 pieces for the collapse to happen that way. How could airplane impacts near the top bring that about?

Bush surely must know there's more to the story, at least if he wants to know. If he does not want to know, that is a problem in itself.

Bottom line: Bush is, at the very least, covering up something important in what is the defining issue of our time.

I wouldn't vote for anyone associated with Bush if life in the US became perfect.

I have never voted democrat. I voted for Bush in both elections and if he could run again, He would have my vote again. A lot of what you listed is happening. The unemployment rate is way down, the economy is higher than it has been in a long time, the immigration problem is in the works of being solved. We have more of our hard earned dollars in our pockets due to tax cuts. I think we should honestly sever any ties we have with the UN because they are worthless and spinless. Still I think when Bush does all that people will still hate him and I will have no clue why. I still dont know why. People who say it is an oil war are retarded because if this was an oil war (which it isn't) i honestly believe that our ties with oil in Middle East would have been cut along time ago. Democrats are immoral, are just looking to fill their wallets by exploiting others i.e. Michael Moore does a great job at that. No America does not want to imprison Bush and Cheney. Only idioits who think they speak for the whole country think that America does. If America wanted Bush and Cheney in prison, it would have happened along time ago. Jar2 get your facts right. Well you do live in Moscow so no wonder you don't know what you are talking about.

That is an unrealistic hypothetical fairy tale. After Bush, who will the repubs and demos pick for president.Could we see Rice and Clinton? Clinton is the forerunner in the demo party, but they know she is not electable. Ergo, perhaps they will push Al Gore. I suspect some unknown or somewhat visible candidate will be trotted out for the repubs. However, status quo. The demos and repubs are in lock step together in essentials. We need a third party candidate with the cajones to do what this nation needs to be done. Now candidates are rich and bought. We never see a common working man up there. Only the elite need apply.

Bush Bashers?
No, just people who occasionally touch base with reality.
Democrat? Not in your life.

So, what I hear you saying is, if George Bush ended all of the world's worst problems, ten of the eleven on your list which he himself created or compounded intentionally, would I still vote for some semblance of sanity or would I stay on the Titanic?

D-uhhhh, gee, do you think that maybe all Bush-Hogs are totally friggin' nuts? I find it ironic that some Bush Butt-Plug said, "I wouldn't vote democratic if my life depended on it."

That's true on so many different levels. And as good a eulogy as could ever be given to this administration of traitors, and the ship of fools that gave them the ride. Twice. On the Titanic.

Let Charles Manson out. Comparatively speaking, he is for the first time in his life a normal, functioning member of our society.

The Dem's will vote against this obviously and will be accused of not supporting the lower class in America.. Dirty tactics.
Just like John Kerry the "flip flop".. Of course nobody actually bothers to actually look at his voting record and find out why he voted for what he did..

lc_firefighter- I've already lived in Iraq for a year, so I'm informed.. Your turn!!

,Utopia, in its most common and general positive meaning, refers to the human efforts to create a better, or perhaps perfect society. Ideas which could be/are considered able to radically change our world are often called utopian ideas.

"Utopian" in a negative meaning is used to discredit ideas as too advanced, too optimistic or unrealistic, impossible to realize. Hence, for example, the use by Marxists, of such expressions as "utopian socialism".

It has also been used to describe actual communities founded in attempts to create such a society. Although some authors have described their utopias in detail, and with an effort to show a level of practicality, the term "utopia" has come to be applied to notions that are (supposedly) too optimistic and idealistic for practical application

You got it right when you said "by some miracle", the likelihood of those thing all happening is less than zero. They have no plan or desire to do any of that so you are just blowing smoke here, and ditto what the last person said.
