We are doing a play about a nun who is walled up because she is pregnant with child. The poor attendance is blamed on a tv programme called Love Island. Should we inject even more drama by evicting Mother Superior?

Yeah....evict her and when she refused to leave, launch her out the 5th floor window. I would seriously go if you did that......

Actually you should have a new ending every night that way anyone who has seen the play (not very many apparently) can't spoil the ending. SO you have an Immaculate Conception ending, Mother Superior out ending, Nun faking the pregnancy so she can be with the alter boy who is her lover ending etc... I think you should fight fire with fire, but I'd be sure to talk to the playwright first. They are very particular about their written words, and that trademark thing is a bear to get around...Next time do "Chicago"

Yes!
You need to wall the nun up with at least 3 men, a priest, a monk and a gardener might do the trick.
This is more the sort of thing that will tempt 'Love Island's' audience

Sounds like a plan - you could also have a lesbian love scene with three nuns the Mother Superior before you evict her and some wide candles !

Mother superior singing and dancing wearing nothing but a sequined "G" string ought to do the trick... A pregnant nun dancing around naked just doesn't quite have the same draw.

Continue the plot along the line that she will, at the end be at peace with herself. May be join a new calling or be part of the new trend in religious reforms in christianity, as in the Gay decision.

Definitely not.
Expose Father McNeely as maybe being the father. But add to the list of possibilities by introducing other possibilies. A homeless guy she tried to help, the milkman, a bible salesman, etc., etc........ The list of possibilities could be endless.
Good luck with your play!

Stay true to the original concept if it is a good one . Don't cater to popularity and dumb down or make it action packed just to fill more seats. Just do your best work even if only a few people are watching and if its good enough word will spread.

Doh! Crazy question. Coz it wont work - obviously. Try using water and a hose - although possibly illegal if its in your garden whilst there's a hosepipe ban!

I'm really not sure what you are talking about, who says we shouldn't fight fire with fire?
