A lot of guys aren't... Even though I'm a guy, I'll tell you why I think a lot of guys are jerks...
*He wants to come across as tough...
*He wants to impress his gf/crush.
*He doesn't really want to commit to a relationship. He's probably only in a relationship so he'll be popular.
*He cares about what other people think rather than what he thinks, so he's trying to come across as something he's not. He's self-absorbed.
*He's just selfish or greedy - no way to explain it. It's just his evil personality.
However, there are still some guys out there that "aren't jerks" responding to your question. Guys can be ethical and moral, but if you're looking for a guy to be emotional, good luck in finding him.
Some guys have giant egos, are self-absorbed, immoral, greedy, and are jerks so they'll get attention and get a girl friend even though girls that go out with these kinds of guys are stupid.
FYI - I hate it when guys act like they're the boss of girls and act like girls can't do anything like catch, open a door, etc. Guys like that are the real jerks and look at girls as objects rather than somebody with feelings and emotions. Girls don't always have to have the guy as her refuge. Girls are able to take care of themselves - duh!!! I can't stand guys who have that attitude.
As for your details, I hate it when girls are the boss and they're in charge of everything. The guy and the girl should have equal input into what's happening and the decisions you make.

Some are..becuz they are freakin jerks just cuz they wanna be.. The others aren't so those jerks make the others look bad when it is not the case at all.

b/c most guys have an IQ lower than room temperature and are too stupid to understand that they're jerks. btw, next time phrase it "why are SO MANY guys jerks?" b/c not all of us are.
btw, look up the definition of jerk... it's not what everyone thinks...

We are afraid to share our true fealings because girls can be very creual, so we act like that to cover it up and avoide emotional pain.
