I think that any old thermometer will do as long as you are consistantly using the same one......I know that they do make special ones specific for this use though....

You need a basal thermometer, which is the only kind that measures the very small changes in body temp that are indicative of ovulation.

it's call a basal thermometer, don't use a regular thermometer you can buy them at walgreen, walmart, cvs or online.

you use a basal thermometer and you can use it orally, vaginally, or rectally. I honestly don't know why someone would want to do it rectally, but they can if they want.
