If you were a Palestinian, how would you have felt about Britain and others creating a new country out of what had been Palestinian land, for instance?
Why shouldn't we simply let Israel fend for itself? We don't support any other country to the extent we support Israel, do we?

It is an accepted part of our foreign policy that we blindly support Israel...but why?

Its NOT just from the Bible although that was a big part of the basis. It is the fact that everyone LOVES an underdog. In the '60's Israel was attacked by 7 different Middle East countries and whipped their azzes in 7 days. Who in the west couldn't find that inspiring? This was a time of Cold War and it was what America needed as inspiration.

Let Israel fend for themselves? LoL. THEY DO. They simply BUY arms from us that we have in excess.

We don't support any other country to the extent we support Israel, do we? OH YEAH. We support MANY, MANY other countries MUCH more than Israel. We don't send them food, weapons or ANYTHING they don't pay for, unlike other countries that require AID.

If I were a Palestinian I'd HONESTLY wonder what we we're doing that incited such hatred of us and how we could stop it. Bombing people on buses isn't the answer, ITS THE PROBLEM.

Israel was a nation for many hundreds of years before 70 AD. The holocaust brought the realization that the Jewish people needed their homeland, once again to escape hatred from So called European Christians. The Muslims are the reason for the terrorism in the world today. The Palestinians are not a race of people, the word Palestinian was created by the Roman Empire after they destroyed the Jewish temple and enslave the people. The Muslims have no claim to Jerusalem. The Muslims seek to rid the world of other faiths that conflict with their world point of view. Israel is the only democracy in the Middle east region with killers and bigots. The Muslims and liberals have no regard for the truth. Judaism has its roots deeply embedded in the middle east and no amount of historical revisionism can change this fact. Were it not for Judaism, people would be praying to idols and statues to this day. Israel is a fact that has to be accepted and dealt with in a rational manner. The only blind person is you.

Support for a Jewish state is adirect result of the holocaust. If six million Palestinians had been killed by Hitler, there might have been more support for maintaining a Palestinian state.

Palestine did not really have a rich history as a separate state. The area had been ruled by others for centuries. It was probably felt that the Arab population could easily assimilate into neghboring countries.

In retrospect, a Jewish state is a good idea -- but a Jewish state in the middle of Muslim states probably wasn't the best thought out idea. We should have provided a safer haven -- perhaps Long Island.

I don't think that USA is supporting Israel just because, it is on their said because hezzbolah came into israel to killed some soldiers and kidnapped 2 more and took them to Lebanon...that's enough reason to respond and attack them, They are protecting terrorists, why they don't just tell them to get out of Lebanon so they can be in peace...and by the way read the BIBLE honey and you will find out that GOD gave them this land before you and me where born, read genesis and you will find the answer...God Bless You.

Bible history tells you the answer you are seeking. Just think.....how can a country as tiny as Isreal surrounded by so many hostile nations with the sole goal of eradicating you, possibly survive without divine intervention. Let there be no doubt.......Isreal will be around much longer than many of its larger neighbors.
