You spend lots of $$ for an item that was made in china for only 50cents. Then you wear the designers logo everywhere you go becoming a free walking billboard for their company.
Shouldn't they be paying YOU to advertise their company?

I am afraid that you do not mean designer you mean "logo". People wear designer clothes because they are getting good "design". If you buy a designer piece you are going to be a head of street fashion (chains will copy designer wear) and you will be able to wear your clothes longer whilst maintaining a trend setter appearance. Most designer wear does not actually have a "LOGO". The trained eye can tell a Gucci or an Armani even if there is no logo anywhere.

In addition, there are some designers that never go out of style beacuse their "look" is unique. For example you can wear a Miyake, a Gaultier or a Missoni forever because their style is so unique.

Designer yes. Logo, No (So nouveau riche, Dahling!)

I still don't understand it, people say they purchase designer brand clothing because they are better quality but yet, they tend to go out of style in a matter of months, so why not purchase the cheap stuff because by the time it starts to unravel at the seams, it's out of style anyway!!! Like I said before: CLEARANCE, CONSIGNMENT, and THRIFT STORES!!! That's how it goes down. And I still have money in my pocket and bank account...

I prefer designer because you usually get better quality materials, construction and fit. They last longer and age better. I have worn both the discount stuff and designer and I will take designer anytime. Even though it's more expensive in the long run I find I usually get my money's worth.

I don't buy deisigner anything unless it's on sale, I just want rugged clothes that fit and last well. Suprisingly difficult to find. Latly I been buying a bunch of old navy polo's because the fit me well and are on sale.

You feel special because you know that people are checking out what you are wearing. Sometimes it is like you have a little spot light on you. You also get tons of compliments!
