some people think im stupid just because im blonde, when in actuality i have been on high honors in school, and i help people with homework all the time. the lowest grade i have ever made in my life is a b-...should i dye my hair or something because it is making me really upset.

oh and ..i am a mentor at my school. i participated in the school's geography bee. and i also participated in the spelling bee. and i was ranked at the top of my class in social studies. and some of the answers i see lead me to believe i am right about people treating me different because i am blonde. if i wasnt blonde, people wouldn't be so critical about my spelling mistakes.

Being a "dumb blonde" is a stereotype that people have grown to accept, because this is what they were taught to believe. I'm blonde, but the people who really know me know that I'm not stupid, I could care less about the rest of the population. Unfortunately, the only thing you can do to break away from the stereotype is to dye your hair another color, sounds to drastic, doesn't it? Why don't you just continue being yourself, and whatever people think, they think, The people that really know you, know that you are not stupid, and they are the people that really count.

Unfortunately this is something you are going to have to get use to my dear. Don't change your hair, change the way you think and use it to your advantage. I'm blonde too, I use to curse my mother for bad genes. Now that I've learned how to use it to my advantage, it's wonderful. For instance, if you goof up, simply say "blonde moment" and nobody questions it or yells at you. If you need help, there's never a shortage of men knocking each other over to come to your aide. And when you show a little smarts, they all of a sudden think you are a rocket scientist. Smart blondes can have it all. Look at Jessica Simpson. Dumb blonde? Not likely, she was a former honor student. But she plays the part really well doesn't she? So can you.

First, take a deep breath and "ignore", I repeat, "ignore" what other people say.
Look at it this way. People will say things about other people all their life. Because someone says something about another person does make it so. You know better than that, do not feel you need to defend yourself. They are probably saying things to be mean or simply not thinking.
My suggestion is to just smile. My mother always said... if you let someone get you "mad" or "angry" - "you" have let that person win. Don't let them win. Ignore them.
Be proud of who you are blonde hair and all! And Brains to Boot! Go girl!

Do not dye your hair another color because of stupid stereo types!
You are obviously very smart so the next time someone calls you stupid start rolling big words back at them. I'm sure they'll shut up quite quickly. If they're stupid enough to stereo type you, then they're probably too stupid to understand most anything that you would say!

all my life i was told i was a dumb blond and i believe it; when i found out that i was as smart any body else i cried for a while cause i really though i was dumb. Everyone is dumb at something and everyone is smart at something, you can't be both on every subject. If people think you are dumb..... smile cause you know its just a matter of time before it bites them in the ***...........lol it Will hurt too.

Why should you have to change anything about yourself?! You obviously have quite a bit going for you. The only thing I can see that you need to change is the way you handle other people's attitudes toward you. Do you really care all that much about what they think, and if so, you might want to consider why that is?

I'm not trying to be mean, but what you wrote isn't convincing me that you're very smart.
No capitalization, run-on sentence, misspelled words, lack of proper punctuation, etc.
The correct phrase would be "I have received high honors" not "I have been on high honors". And the word is "I'm" not "im".
You need to work on your image ... try to act intelligent and maybe you will be treated like it.
