What's the best money you ever spent? Meaning, value you got for the money; enjoyment you've gotten from your purchase (regardless of the cost); return on investment; or whatever criteria you want to use.

When my mom dies last year July 29 at 65 she left me $1000 in her will. (I had been out of touch with her for years) I took half of it and purchased a new digital camera.
A Konica Minolta DiMage Z6 with 12x optical zoom. I'm an artist and needed a new camera for years but couldn't justify the cost. When this money came to me I paid bills with 1/2 and bought the camera with the other 1/2. I use it several times a week and think about my mom every time I pick it up.Which was what I wanted when I bought it...a reminder of her and her love.

The $1.50 I spent for a cold beer at a tavern at Indian Wells, NV after spending a day at the Nevada Test Site in the broiling sun conducting technical tests on a Navy nuclear weapon. God it was hot, the tavern AC and the beer were refreshing, refershing and never to be forgotten.

It wasn't much but I spent about $200.00 for a 4 day weekend with my kids in Turner Falls, Oklahoma!
The best time we ever had! Sleeping in a screen covered cabin in the middle of MAJOR Thunderstorms and playing in the park .The next day wondering what we were going to find cheap enough to eat!
Awesome!
We will always remember!

The money spent to send my parents on a Hawaiin vacation trip for their 25th Anniversary! A total surprise to them, time off for both of them was arranged by the children. They were totally shocked and had the best time.

It was a steamy hot day, and I sprung for a Coke at the Detroit Zoo. It was easily the best life experience I've had.

Bought a house for $112,000...sold it 5 years later for $375,000....so pretty good return there.... but as far as best money I ever spent.... Sex swing. No joke. Best $200 I ever spent.

bought an electric lawn mower at end of the season clearance for $40. the thing lasted about 20 years. no tune ups, no gasoline, no oil....just plug the sucker in and GO !!!!!!!
luckily I had a very small yard.
