When i got my first car it was an 87 GMC Jimmy. I took my parents advice and got a CRT. Cheap Reliable Transportation. Granted it was a hooptie but it got everywhere. I hauled countless tons of wood in it and fixing it was cheap. Take my advice and get a car that wont cost an arm and a leg to fix. I ended up getting rid of the jimmy. Now i drive a fully restored 1972 mach 1 mustang. Just get a junk car that gets you from pointa to point b.

you should get a much older model than an '05. even if you a good driver, you have very little or no experience. i would hate to see a perfectly good car get messed up from inexperience. another thing, you should pay for the car yourself with very little or no help from your parents because you will take better care of it and appreciate it much more!!!!!

you are 16 and it's "time for your first car". We can't even drive until we are 18 in the UK.
Buy a cheap one, save some money you will need it later.
Don't worry, you will dent it. It's inevitable.
Drive safe.

Go with the older car. Even if you're a good driver, remember that you'll probably be around alot of teens your age (school parking lot) that can't drive.

You might want to find out which car offers a better warranty to accomadate you, you may not get hit but something costly could happen to the car.

If your lucky enough to be able to afford a new car at 16 then your rich enough to get full coverage and it will pay for your dents and dings. If some one else is paying make them pay for full coverage.

Get an old Saturn. The parts that "dent" are plastic, and you can push the dent right out.

Buy a kia that way if you wreck it, it won't look that bad and it won't cost you a ton of money.
