Does anyone out there know how to safely and easily restore a signature on a letter where the ik has faded somewhat? Please let me know. Much thanks.

Restoring the ink would hurt any value of the document and it would be extremely difficult. The copy method will work. You can also photograph it and manipulate the contrast and look at a negative image. Scanning will also allow the same thing.

If you have some time, contact the FBI lab in Quantico, Virginia. They will know a way to do it if the document can be altered.

I can't answer how to restore faded ink, but I would immediately scan the document and save it as an image on a CD.
Then print a hard copy, and have it verified against the original by a lawyer / priest / bank manager ... the usual....

usually its just a bad ink catirage so just got to an office max or a home depot. and buy a new ink catriage
