I do not really understand this concept. Someone tells me that I never go with the flow and I dont get what she is talking about. Does it mean not being willing to change plans if someone wants to/ I;m not. If we have an arrangement do go out for a steak dinner, Im not open to a sudden suggestion to go for mexican instead.

It means, don't rock the boat, go along with the consensus, don't make waves...
Why don't you ask the person that says that to you. They may actually know what they mean...

Going with the flow means that you follow what everbody does or says...maybe you are scared to say your true opinion or just not creative enough basically it means you are not doing what you like or want and that you do what everyone does and tell you to do maybe because you are afraid they may reject you....for example ''Have you seen High School Musical?'' there's a scene in which they sing a song called Stick To The Status Quo that song kind of talks about that...staying with your plans with what everybody does and not doing what you like for once.Hope my answer helps!

Going with the flow means to not expect anything. Go on that date with no expectations. Just think positive. Think about having a great time with the guy you like. Going with the flow means to be yourself and don't try to hard to impress them. Keep it real; another meaning for being urself.

are you a little set in your ways?

somewhat resistant to change?

hard headed?

do you get upset easily?

this person wants you to be able to make decisions as they come, to live a little more light heartedly, take it easy. if something doesn't work just try the next best thing.

yet on the other hand maybe she it too wishy washy try that one on her. LOL maybe you just know what you like.

Well I have always understanded it to mean just do what everyone else tells you to do, or do what they do in some form.

This refers to being too rigid, strict guidelines, structured. You need to loosen up a bit & what happens, happens.
