The one thing that used to get me really fuming was politics. I was convinced that my chosen party was right and that all others were liars and/or misguided. Eventually, I matured and realized that both sides have their faults and that every political party can share some very good ideas. Now, I am annoyed by people who think that their party is the only party worth listening to and all others are either liars and/or misguided.

Everything. I used to be angry all the time. I realised that it was a crappy way to live, and that I could change it. Some of my relatives are like that, and I wonder now how I ever lived that way. I am much happier now that I appreciate things and know that being angry is just not worth it.

To be honest, my wife's family.

They used to make me so angry that I'd rather hit them than look at any of them, but the better I got to know them, the more I understood them.

That's not to say that now we are the best of friends, because, well, we aren't, but I have grown to love and respect them along with their way of doing things. I don't always agree with what they do, but I understand why they do things they way that they do them.

I'm pretty sure they don't understand why I do things the way I do them, and why I'm "strict" with the kids, and won't let them go into certain rooms of my home without their mother or grandmother with them - it's because they are young, and don't understand the value of my possessions (sports and movie memorabilia). I'm not trying to be mean to the kids, but at the same time I have invested alot of time, effort, energy and money into my collection, and I certainly don't want anyone - much less my nieces and nephews - to damage/destroy it.

The petty, immature games the ladies in my office play. It used to really upset me. All the back-stabbing and smack talking behind eachothers backs. But, now I just tune it out and focus on my job. I know it's still happening, but I don't let it get to me like it used to. Once I finish nursing school, I won't be there anymore anyway.

I used to hate a crowded mall and how people would stop walking, mid-stride, and allow everyone behind them to nearly drop them to the floor. But, I got over it. Now, I just put my arms out in front of me and elbow check them . . .

Stupid people. I used to get very upset with people who were always being rude to others, but now I pretty much just ignore them.
