There are many "deja" phenomena, deja vu is only one of them. In general, they refer to the recognition of a perception as already lived. It is a normal manifestation of a healthy mind. We learn to associate certain colors, sounds, or visual appearances with a distinct emotion. Deja vu, already seen, is a failed attempt to come to an emotional response to a visual stimuli. You quickly realized that you couldn't have lived that since you exist in the present. The normal reaction is to get alarmed, but they are normal. It is real. You may have lived a similar situation sometime in your past. You just can't remember it.
