Cause we, as a nation, have no guts, and no real hunger for true democracy. They say that if you pass around the Declaration of Independence in a room full of americans and don't tell them what it is, they'll overwelmingly call it subversive.

We aren't allowing it, corporations are allowing it.... are government has turned into a government that only cares about corporate interest. They don't even regard personal letters or emails from people like us... they will only respond to groups who are willing to pay for the campaigning it seems like!
I say we all should just need to do something about it... but the question is how??? even if we tried to get into politics and represent our area we couldn't because we have no money... unless we lobby for crap we probably wouldn't want to lobby for (because those are the people with the big bucks) the people we do want to lobby for don't have the money for the commercials and what not!!
We have all lost faith in our government and now they are the only ones who can reap the benefits... our founding fathers never would have agreed with what america has become today! there is so much to talk about i should just stop now!!!

You are sooooo right.
And every time they change jobs in the government they have a retirement from each one.
I lived next door to a retired U.S. Congressman for several years in an Apartment Building. The Government paid his and his wife's rent as long as the didn't buy a home.
This was back in the 1980's and he was getting an annual retirement of over $60,000 back then.
Believe me they take care of themselves at taxpayers expense.
