There have been rumors for weeks that Greg Maddux, the All Star pitcher for the Chicago Cubs, will be traded to a contender before the trade deadline. Has anyone heard who is interested in him or any rumors?

Tom Glavine is pushing management to get Maddux traded to the Mets. We'll see!!! I don't think Maddux has very much left in the tank!!

He may be traded to the Mets. The Mets have everything but perfect pitching. However from a personal standpoint I don't think that he'll have any effect on the Mets because they're the only team with .500 or more on their division. Also Maddux is very... VERY old. He's 40 and that might hurt him because he's not in as great of shape as he was in the past few years. If you look at his picture his aging, unlike Roger Clemens, is palpable. He will either stay with the Cubbies or go to the Mets.

The Padres could rather be open to buying and merchandising him, yet i'm unsure which communities could have an interest. The Phillies could get some commencing pitching in the event that they're severe approximately competing this year, so as that's a minimum of one team which could be finding at him. The Diamondbacks could attempt to change Johnson interior the rotation and circulate him to the bullpen, so as that could additionally be a threat (extraordinarily no longer likely, however). I doubt the Padres gets lots in return, yet they could commerce him even with the reality that.

if he gets traded....Yankees...mark my words...

if they want to make playoffs, they need to do something dramatic. if they dont make a change like this, those hopes are gone.
