Why do women wear heels and then complain when their feet hurt?

As a man, I can't really relate to the female plight. But I get a little annoyed when women complain that their heels hurt their feet. It seems to me like they should either wear more comfortable shoes or accept and expect their pain. And if they are so uncomfortable, why wear them in the first place?

That reminds me of what I see at the community college I go to. There are so many female students wearing shoes with stiletto style heels...and that wouldn't be so bad, except for the fact that the landscape around the buildings is very uneven bricks.

I have to wonder who would be to blame if one of those girls tripped, got hurt & decided to sue the school. The school should fix the landscaping...get rid of that brick ground...and at the same time, if you know you're going to be walking on such landscaping, why bother with stilettos?

When touring some old city with cobblestone streets, everyone says to wear comfortable shoes.

So, yeah...there is an element of being a slave to fashion.

Because they are slaves to fashion. I personally don't know why either, I think they do it more for each other than they do for men anyway. I never wear heels, but manage to look just great, and I don't think any many would care whether I were in heels or not as long as I looked nice and well-put-together overall.

I didn't realize other women's feet hurt too. I figured I was the only one who was suffering through high heels. I used to be able to wear them and just my feet would hurt, now, two rear-endings later, I can't wear them period, because it makes my whole body hurt. It's good to know I'm not the only one in pain. :)

I'm not a women but I want a shot at this, Women wear high heels to make their feet, legs and back end look nice for us men, The least we can do is rub their feet with lotion.

girls wear heals because they want to look nice and some girls have to wear heels for some reason and some just do it to be like some other people. they complain so much because some of them where them to long and thats girls who really don't know that they can take them off. the smarts ones take them off when they start hurting.

I don't know. They look stupid beyond belief as well I really don't find women in high heels sexy at all. The look much better wearing a pair of Nikes with some jeans and a white t-shirt. With heels and dresses they look like clowns. It's really funny at shows like the Academy Awards, where they spend loads of money on dresses to look elegant and beautiful, but they just look like idiot whores.

because we cant wear tennis with a dress or dress pants
pluse most offices have a dress code that includes pantyhoes and dress shoes
try finding dress shoes that look nice that do not have a heel good luck

I don't wear heels because I find them uncomfortable and pointless. I'm happily married, and not out to impress anyone. I'm all about comfort. :)

They are assailed by doubt yet seem to believe they are all but adorable and perfectly cute. They will cry but not go away from the house just like that. It seems some will not please for the money they spend.
