yes, you need to listen to your body. If it is telling you that you need to take a nap, there is a reason. Straining your body and over doing it during a pregnancy can cause problem. I got pregnant when I was 17 and was still in school and holding a part time job to pay for my self. I had to work, how else would my bills get paid? My body was always telling me to slow down and I didn't, I couldn't, and I paid for it. My water broke at 6 1/2 months, the doc. did a test on the amniotic fluid and told me that my babies lungs were not developed and her kidneys were not functioning right. She would need a transplant when she was born. I paid for my mistake, spending almost three months in solitude on iv's to stop my labor. Taking hormone shots constantly to speed up the growth of my babies organs. And everyday wondering if it was worth me going to work, and school to put my babies life in jeopardy. Don't make the same mistake, some things are more important. Listen to your body and if it needs rest, give it to it. Good luck in your pregnancy

If your body tells you to take a nap then you should if possible!!
Right now you need your rest especially if this is your first pregnancy!! Your body has never been through this before so rest is essential!!
Take all the naps you can because when the baby comes you are gonna wish you had those days back!!
Good Luck! and Congratulations!!!

It is very common to feel the need to nap in early pregnancy, and if you are able to take time to do that your body will thank you! It is always a good idea to listen to your body :)

when you are tired it is not only the time your body is getting used to being pregnant, but also the time when the baby needs your sleeping time so he/she can grow. Baby grows more when you sleep. Sleep when you are tired, it not only makes you feel better, but it also is healthier for your baby. I slept alot during my first trimester, but after that naps were seldom and I wasn't tired for no reason.

You're not going to be pregnant forever, so yes I believe it is very important to listen to your body until the baby is due...congratulations!
