The U.N. has exceptional world powers. It does over step them at time. Do you think the whole global community law enforcing U.N. is the first step or one of the final steps into one world government and do you agree with one world government?

The U.N. was one of the early steps in the unfolding of the New World Order. I think the next major step will be world war 3. We must recognize that the Illuminati, who are in the process of implementing this one world dictatorship, are the children of darkness, and do not have our best interest at heart. Those who survive WW3, they will require to be implanted with a micro-chip (mark of the beast), in order to buy or sell anything.

No, it is a silly fear let alone idea. The UN has comparitively few powers for a world organization. The EU, which isn't global, is nearly a nation. The UN is a talking place and a place where the dominant group can engage in political and physical action throughout the world. If you were seeking a step toward world government, this isn't it; it is a backward step. The WTO or the World Bank are much closer to being components of one world government than the UN ever will be. The WTO has judicial authority over the global contract called GATT. The World Bank imposes its will upon sovereign borrowers and has government like powers.

Now both depend upon the continued assent of their member states, but all legislative and judicial bodies do too.

Sadly, we are no where near getting to such a point and in the last five years have moved radically away from such an idea being viable.

A global government, where there was real assent to it, would hae all kinds of virtuous impacts and would scare quite a number of developed nations to death. The US makes up only 5% of the world's population yet uses 20-25% of its resources. In a democracy, how long do you think such a minority could continue to use in excess of its per ownership? Democracies tend toward tyrrany without an strongly enforced "bill of rights."

Of interest, the US Bill of Rights is among the weakest globally of all the democracies. As the first, it had nothing to model itself off of. Others learned from American mistakes and have written stronger rights documents against the powers of the states. I was in a class with a US Federal judge overseas. One of the Americans was getting shocked at what happens in the other democracies and blurted out "well at least we still live in most free country in the world." A German, who was getting irritated at the Americans by this point, ran down a long laundry list of things Americans couldn't do but that Germans and other Europeans could. Rights Americans surrendered to their government without thinking or never had. Both I and the Federal Judge concluded we had different sets of rights, but not necessarily more or less rights. Still, you could make a good argument that Americans were far less free than many of our European counterparts. Even the smaller less developed democracies often have stronger rights documents, even if enforcement is often weaker.

To develop a world government, the minority rich states would have to agree to majority control passing to the poor states. The UN is controlled only by the powerful, with the powerful having near total control.

The whole idea of that is sadly silly. We don't trust each other enough.

Absolutly not...The UN is a joke...If a country wants to do something they will do it without UN approval. The USA did it when we invaded Iraq and countless others have done it as well. The UN depends on super rich, super powerful nations like the USA to enforce its decisions. It is somewhat of a ghost entity.

Because of all the ethnical an religious differences in the world, I dont think a world government will ever happen...at least not in our lifetime.

Exceptional powers? more like Special Ed.

You people and the one world government theory really need to get a new wild theory this one is getting old.

The only way we would ever get this world united under one banner is if some Klingon muklucks come down from space causing trouble. But unless we have a common enemy there world will never be united.

It most definitely is a step in the direction of one world order. And no I do not agree with it. Because then they will have total control of the people. And they won't have to pretend anymore, so it's not going to be a pretty picture. I believe that humanity is in a waking up stage and even if one world order is in place, it won't last long because the people will take back their place as self empowered independent beings who believe in the truth of oneness. As a whole, all of humanity is transcending, even though it doesn't seem that way right now. I love you all for taking part in this awesome transformation that we all are a part of right now.

The UN has no exceptional world power. The sit around and pass resolutions. If countries actually abide by the resolutions it would at least function like it's supposed to.

LOL....The UN is useless in its current makeup. They couldn't bring together one pizza let alone the earth. I do not agree with one world government unless its modeled after our freedoms in the US. I'm not willing to change. Do you honestly think Putin will give up his Power? What about China, sorry.......it isn't going to happen.

No, I think the UN as it is now, is a useless form of anything..except its existence as a figurehead for what could be if the world was a perfect place..
