My internet connection seems to be working fine but I got disconnected from a site earlier and cannot get back in. I have rebooted my computer and cleared out temporary internet files as well as history. Any other suggestions? The message is simply that the page cannot be displayed...

Usually when a specific site is unaccessible, it's a problem with the site's web server itself. I would give it some time, then try again. It could be a minor issue like a maintenance reboot of the server (and they don't have a backup to take the load while the primary's being rebooted), or it could be a plain old problem with the web server (again, with no backup to take over for the primary).

Could be their server's down, or the site itself went down. My site had the same problem, but was up again ten minutes later.

check your browser settings. If you are using IE..
tools
internet options
security tab
check the RESTRICTED SITES
perhaps its restricted...

if not....

check if thats a secure website -->https....
if it is check the cipher strength
IE
help tab on the toolbar
about IE
it should be 128 bit

if still the same...
it could also be a firewall or any security software issue
check what security software you have installed on your PC

I had to restart my computing device, then startup in risk-free mode. close down back. Unplug it, push the flexibility button to flash each and all of the flexibility out. Then plug it in, and change it on many times. appeared to do the trick.

Its another traffic jam on the information superhighway. Don't worry about it, it happens all the time.
