Now it's one thing when a lot of time goes by and a guy who was 20 in the first film was like 70 in the next, but when only a year or two goes by between the films they have completly different actors/actresses when they didn't have to at all. Sometimes when an actor/actress dies between films too but when they absolutely don't have to.

Well, in some cases (as in death and conflicts with contracts and whatnot) it's completely unavoidable, but it does, by far, throw things off.

However, when it's done somewhat deliberately, it's really annoying and makes you question what the director and/or producer(s) were thinking.

Absolutely. It makes it very hard to suspend disbelief when they do that!

I HATE THAT!! YOU FEEL LIKE THE CHEMISTRY GOT MESSED WITH AND SH!T AND IT PISSES YOU OFF!!! I CAN'T STAND IT WHEN THEY DO THAT MESS UNLESS IT'S TOTALLY NECESSARY!! IT'S ONE THING FOR PEOPLE TO DIE/GET INJURED BUT IT'S STUPID TO DO THAT CRAP!!
