To desensitize. That is the best way we can overcome our fears.... start really slow though I don't mean go out and get on the grand canyon of moster rides..... start with the childrens small loop rides...and don't worry about how you look because you'll look like your having fun regardless... take it step by step. Start by visualizing yourself on the ride laughing and haivng fun.... actually try to experience what it feels like in your mind to be going up and down the loops, the wind blowing through your hair, a beautiful sunny day... your with your friends... and also concentrate on the laughter around you. Take this step in your mind first and remember start slow. If your not ready to go on the steep one it's okay do what you feel comfortable with.. no pressure at all. Do this at your own pace. Everyone has a fear of something in their life but the test will be facing them... and no where does it say you have to do that all in one single day. Go with a trusted friend who understands your fear and will work with you through it. Gradual exposure to the thing you fear the most has an awesome way of helping you get over it. Best of luck to you.

I never really cared for roller coasters much either, but about the time I got into my late teens, early twenties, I grew to love roller coasters. I am not sure what has changed or why, but I enjoy riding them a bunch. Do prefer steel coasters to wooden - some of the wooden ones are just too rough. I am not real thrilled about height, either, but as long as I'm strapped in to something, I don't worry about it. My favorite time at an amusement park is when everyone has gone home and you can ride the same ride over and over without getting off. That's gotta be the BEST! Just wish I could go more often. Don't know what else to tell you, but maybe you'll get over the fear sooner or later. I still hate that 1st big drop when your stomach is in your throat, but it's over quick enough.

U have to go to the roller coster first and then you have to open your eye and think of somethink in your mian like your famous person or a singer. I do all the time when i was fear at roller coster. But now i am not afried of the ride anymore. You have to take time to get use to the higher ride. Just go the lower ride first and then go to another ride, but this thime, it have to be a little high. And then keep going and going until u can go to the high ride. And if you have a fear, Take a deep breath and count to 5. That is how u get take your fear out of your mind.

You can just keep riding them or you can just decide you are not going to ride them. My father does not like rollercoasters and when we were younger he and my brother (who also doesn't like rollercoasters) would stand around and watch all the shows and do the slow rides. My sisters, mother and I would all do the roller coasters. My husband is afraid of heights. I can climb bridges, rock walls, etc, and so do my girls, but my husband stands on the ground and watches.

Just go on the rides you are not afraid of. Try smaller roller coasters at first and make your way up to the real big ones.

Maybe you don't have to go there ( :
Life is scary enough sometimes. Save your strength for when you need it.
Rides should be for fun. If you feel you have to go on all rides, then keep saying to yourself, "Wee, this is fun!"
(This from someone who got a big knob on the forehead from a "fun" ride.)

go to six flags with your friends or girlfriend/boyfriend and ride a rollercoaster with them so they won`t think you`re a coward.
