Depends on the program. Determine what you have on your computer. If it is yahoo, you can go to internet explorer. Go to address block; type in www.yahoo.com and there is yahoo ! Look around for MAIL; click on it. Then type in ID and password where it is indicted. then you go to mail and left click on it to open it. Thisis a basic procedure for mos tof the emails that you probably use. GOOGLE HOTMAIL

It usually occurs when you have a messaging client running e.g. email, instant messaging (especially MSN which also checks Hotmail when you lg on).
