pH = -log[H3O+], there wouldnt be ANY hydronium ions formed in ethanol soln, so measuing pH doesnt make any sense.

pH is only defined for dilute water solutions. Ethanol solutions do not work the same way.

pretty sure you need to know the molarity of the two solutions, but i havent taken ochem yet so i cant tell you for certain
