and also morpheaus and all those other p2p sharing programs cause viruses?

No, but I stopped using Limewire thanks to all the infected crap people uploaded.

I mean... I've never illegally downloaded anything ever in my life...

Limewire is a file sharing program that uses a p2p connection over the Gnutella Network.
You can get viruses from downloading files using Limewire or any other p2p program, just be cautious and be sure to scan the file you downloaded with your antivirus program before opening it. If the file is infected delete from the library of the program such as Limewire and it will also take it out of your computer as long as you have not moved it from the programs shared folder.

LimWire, is a great application, and it is not at all a virus, spyware, or any other harmful type of program, but like said above, if your not careful, you can download viruses from limewire. to avoid this only download things with high download numbers

It can have viruses, but you should have anti virus software on your computer. It really is THAT important.

I use limewire and haven't had an issure with malicious code.

No, and if you're only downloading music or movies (illegal, but I doubt you care), you really can't get a virus. However, if you download other things (programs, especially), you can, and chances are you will.

They are not viruses but if you aren't careful, you can download viruses from them

no, but if you don't have broadband, limewire will slow the heck out of your computer when it's running.
