Looking for help about how to learn to use an old Mac computer effectively. This would mean I am depending on the "kindness of strangers" in my city. First, am I naive to think someone would want to help? Second, am I insane (lol) to indicate what small western Canadian city I live in? I am a 59 yr old sane (?) married male, completely harmless,-bearing malice to no one.

I would suggest going to Yahoo Groups and see if you can find a group there that has info on what you are interested in doing, regarding the mac...
We used to call them SIG's... or, special interest groups, back when I first started with puters..
And no, I don't think you are naive..
