I hope you are kidding. But if you aren't, no it is not okay. It is very harmful to the child. Some people in rural and uneducated areas might say that it's good to smoke crack or smoke cigarettes when pregnant because the baby comes out lighter. These people are ignorant of medical science and you should not listen to them. The baby is born smaller, but having a low birth weight is very unhealthy for a baby increasing their risk of death, learning disabilities, and aggression. The baby, when born, will experience withdrawal symptoms. It will cry a lot from the pain and not even want to be touched which can hinder the parent-child bonding experience.

Crack is also bad for the parent, let alone the baby, but the baby doesn't have a choice to refuse the pipe.

Absolutely NOT ! Any substance ingested by a pregnant woman will have an affect on the developing baby. Although the full extent of the effects of prenatal exposure to drugs on a child is not completely known, scientific studies have documented that mothers who misuse crack during pregnancy are more likely to miscarry, give birth early, give birth to baby's with birth weights or smaller head sizes or give birth to baby's that are shorter than average in length.
Once the baby is born, it may show symptoms of withdrawal if it has become physically dependent to the crack used by the mother during pregnancy. The baby may also have a poor ability to regulate its own body temperature and blood sugar, and is at increased risk of having seizures. Other possible effects include seizures or strokes, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, autism, vision and hearing problems, and urinary tract abnormality.
Women who use drugs whilst pregnant are also more likely to experience additional behavioural and emotional factors that can affect the development of their baby, such as irregular sleep patterns and poor nutrition.
If you use drugs of any sort (prescribed or illegal) and discover you have become pregnant, it is strongly advised that you seek the support of your local doctor (GP) to discuss your options and to ensure the health of yourself and the baby

are you crazy? Do you want your baby born retarded or worse not born at all. I've seen babies born addicted to crack, heroine, and all kinds of drugs believe me it's not a preety sight. You need to get help right now before it's to late. Your baby could possibly be born still born. How would you like to go through hours and hours of labor just to deliver a dead baby, never hearing him/her cry, never seeing them crawl or walk never hearing their first words. You really need to think about that unborn child and not yourself.

yes...
if you want a child who is mentally and or physically challenged for the rest of their life!
and to the person that said get an abortion...
do you honestly want to go through life being labeled a murderer? because that what abortion is! if you cant cope without the drugs, im sure when your child is born the state will find a perfectly acceptable home for your child.

Ask Courtney Love.

In case she is too high or wasted to answer, or in case you are too high to call her, the answer is NOOOO! It will screw up the baby even more than the mere fact that you are its mother!

Just remember that whatever you put in your body...goes directly to your unborn child via the umbilical cord.
