my parents like to buy these drinks and i think it is a waste of money. They have bought Xango, Noni, and Mangosteen. Has anyone heard of these drinks? Apparently they're good for you...how?? i dont know. Does anyone have any testimonials on these type of drinks?

No, these are not a waste of money. If you do comparisons on the net on all the functional fruit juices, you will see that they have amazing benefits. Himilayan Goji juice was featured in July's issue of Time magazine as the breakthrough superfruit of the century. For testimonials, go to www.gojihealthstories.com and see what others are saying.

The answer earlier about finding something cheaper may be a bit eroneous. Sure, if you want to kill yourself, go out and buy the cheapest aresenic you can find...it doesn't really matter. If you want to go out and put something into your system to affect a positive change, be prepared to spend some money after you investigate. The juices are good. They won't make the blind see or the deaf hear but they can have positive impact on a lot of conditions. Most companies don't provide everything needed in their formulations to really do what they could. I'm aware of one of the top juice/liquid nutrional manufacturers that produces about $1.3B in products for companies all over the country. He recently told one company that most formulators want him to put, "...just enough to be able to say it's there..." but not what the research says is enough to make a difference. One example is Lutein for eyesite. Every piece of research you will find says you need to get at least 3mg of it daily to really effect an improvement. Pick up somethign on the shelf at 99% of the retail stores around and you see the company brag about it but put in a fraction of it..."fairy dusting". Based on that earlier conversation with that manufacturer, there will be something on the market in a couple of months (Sept?) that should prove to be a major improvement. Affordable? Probably. We'll see. Jeff the nurse in Nashville.

My parents drink Noni Juice. It has helped my Mom lose weight and if fights infections for my Dad, he's a type 2 diabetic. It's pure Noni juice, so it tastes pretty funky, so they put in cranberry juice. They do seem to be a lot healthier

They can help for certain conditions, but overall they are overpriced for what they do. There are cheaper supplements that can do the same thing and more.
