He weighs close to 100 lbs and has been outside all day. When I brought him in this evening, he keeps putting his paw on my arm while I sit here and will not sit down or lay down. He is being such a baby. I played with him and we went for a walk, but he wont quit it. What to do?

He is a little happier now. We went outside and played with the frisbee for about 5 minutes. Now were laying on the cool tile floor panting and drooling.

PS I also have another dog to keep him company, but she is more or less un interested. All she wants is food and more food and more food and of course a cold drink of water.

Too little time spent on your lab. You yourself said he was outside all day. Imagine being left outside all day with no interaction from someone. Dogs are pack animals, they live in packs. The instinct remains to be with people, we are the substitute for the pack. Spend more time with your lab, take him to obedience class where he can interact with other dogs and where you can learn to discipline any bad behavior, ultimately having a well-behavior pooch. AND stop leaving him OUTSIDE ALL DAY!

he's just a dog! all he wants his affection and just to have fun! try feeding him...or giving him a bone to chew on or something! he obviously needs something!

Hey Pardner,,,, instead of trying to get him to quit,,,, be thankful that he thinks enough of you, to still want your attention....

That is all he wants.....love him......he will grow out of it later...

good luck
