Wow! She is 30 and doesn't know this? (Sorry, but it's amazing if she doesn't have babies already!)

14 days after the FIRST day of her period. That would be average for women, and if she is average, her period comes every 28 days or so. If not, most women have an egg-white looking, clear discharge around ovulation. She can also look into charting her temperature, which changes around ovulation.

Ovulation happens 14 days approx. before your next period comes. In a perfect 28 day cycle (which few women have) ovulation takes place about day 14. Your friend should track her cycles and say her cycles average 34 days in length then she should ovulate around cycle day 20. There is no magic number of days after your period.

If you are sure you ovulate on day 18, then you could have what the doctor's name a "luteal section defect," this means that you might be having your interval too quickly after ovulation, so the egg would not have time to implant. I would see your health care professional, and notice if there is any therapy for that. I consider there is.

You suitable have some better weeks to make up your ideas and the longer you wait the greater painful the perspective could be.

That depends, but it is always 12 days before your period starts, so if you are consistent then count back.
