My husband wants me to go with him when he goes drop off my step-daughter with her mother. I've never met his ex before, and don't want to. He wants me to go with him that because he dosen't want me to think bad. But I just can't stand this girl. I've crossed words with her over the phone and I don't like the way she is. She thinks she still rules over him due to that she was his first wife and they have a daughter together. I was not the cause of their divorce. She hates me because, since he's been with me he has changed for the better.

If he really wants u to go then id go with him. Just sit in the car you dont have to talk to her jus go be with your man

You haven't meet the x-wife? She thinks that she still rules over him because you don't come with him to drop of the step daughter in the x-wife's mind she thinks your husband is telling you to stay home during these interactions. You should go with your husband and if nothing else stay in the car. She'll notice you came for the ride and that will get her to thinking.

I would go because your husband asked you to do this small thing for him, plain and simple. You don't have to say anything to the ex wife, heck, you probably don't even have to get out of the car. It's probably a rough time for him, and he wants some moral support for the trip home. This is one of the small things you can do for him that will show him how much you love him. Good luck.

I understand that dynamic, but I'd go anyway just as a show of solidarity between you and your husband. That way everything stays on the up an up. You can show her WHY he's changed for the better in the process!

Well by not going you are letting her think she still rules over him. She probably thinks you are scared of her and wont show up anytime she is around. You should be the bigger person here and show up with YOUR husband and let her know that you and him and the daughter they share are a happy little family while you are together.

i think going along with him could be good. i know it's hard from issues you had before. but when you do talk about good things...and say good things when you drop the daughter off... like " it's been fun...you are beautiful, can't wait to see you again." even give her hugs....he just doesn't want you thinking anything ...he's a good guy for that. you don't have to meet her...don't even get out of the car...unless to give baby girl a hug bye....

Trust your instincts and don't go BUT explain to your husband that it's not what you want to do at this point. Your stepdaughter doesn't need to witness that kind of animosity between the two of you. Hopefully, your husband will respect your wishes.

You should go only to show her that she isn't the one winning in this. Present a united front with your husband and it lets her know she needs to back off. Been there and done that....

yes, you definatley should go! i am also a step mom and the less she sees you, the more satisfaction SHE gets. so go and support your husband. also, act like she doesn't bother you and make it a point to say "hey so n so, how are you?" your obviously pretending, but that will freak her out. plus, show her how happy you guys are together. ex's hate that!!!!!!!!! trust me! oh, and don't forget to look HOT!
